Position Overview:
As a Construction Safety Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our construction teams. Your primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and oversee safety programs and policies, fostering a culture of safety awareness and compliance across all construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Safety Program Development:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and policies in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Conduct regular reviews and updates to ensure continuous improvement in safety standards.
  2. Site Inspections and Audits:
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
    • Provide timely and effective feedback to site managers and workers to address safety concerns.
  3. Training and Education:
    • Coordinate and deliver safety training programs for construction personnel, emphasizing best practices and compliance with safety regulations.
    • Stay current with industry trends and regulations to ensure training programs remain up-to-date.
  4. Incident Investigation:
    • Lead investigations into safety incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
    • Maintain accurate records of incidents and their resolutions.
  5. Emergency Response Planning:
    • Develop and implement emergency response plans for construction sites, ensuring all personnel are trained and prepared for potential emergencies.
  6. Communication and Collaboration:
    • Foster a collaborative safety culture by working closely with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to promote safety awareness.
    • Communicate regularly with all stakeholders to provide updates on safety performance and initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Construction Safety Coordinator or similar role in the construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA) preferred.
  • Ability to conduct effective safety training sessions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
