Position Overview:As a Construction Safety Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our construction teams. Your primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and oversee safety programs and policies, fostering a culture of safety awareness and compliance across all construction sites.
Key Responsibilities: - Safety Program Development:
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and policies in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates to ensure continuous improvement in safety standards.
- Site Inspections and Audits:
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide timely and effective feedback to site managers and workers to address safety concerns.
- Training and Education:
- Coordinate and deliver safety training programs for construction personnel, emphasizing best practices and compliance with safety regulations.
- Stay current with industry trends and regulations to ensure training programs remain up-to-date.
- Incident Investigation:
- Lead investigations into safety incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents and their resolutions.
- Emergency Response Planning:
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for construction sites, ensuring all personnel are trained and prepared for potential emergencies.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Foster a collaborative safety culture by working closely with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to promote safety awareness.
- Communicate regularly with all stakeholders to provide updates on safety performance and initiatives.
Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Construction Safety Coordinator or similar role in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA) preferred.
- Ability to conduct effective safety training sessions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
