About the Job

Responsibilities include construction SWPPP inspections based on the requirements of the Construction General Permit 2009-0009-DWQ, industrial inspections based on the requirements of the upcoming Industrial General Permit, during rain event stormwater sampling and analysis, project design review, report writing, and preparing proposals for construction and industrial SWPPP services.

Day to Day Responsibilities


  • Manage assigned projects including full permit requirements which may include but are not limited to weekly, pre-storm, during-storm, post-storm, quarterly and annual inspections;
  • Stormwater sampling and analysis;
  • Ability to understand and comply with the ACOE 404, RWQCB 401WQC, DFG 1600, Large MS4 and Small MS4 Permits;
  • Must have solid understanding of field sampling and analysis;
  • Must have a Qualified SWPPP Practitioner certification;
  • Strong ability to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and situations.


Required Competencies:

  • QSP required;
  • Minimum two years’ experience working in an engineering, construction, or environmental related role;
  • Experience with permit compliance and inspections;
  • Must have a degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Chemistry, Biology or related field;
  • Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team;
  • Maintain flexibility with respect to assigned tasks due to changing deadlines, deliverables and priorities;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Exhibits an advanced ability to analyze problems and develop alternative strategies to solve them;
  • Proficiency in PC applications, including MS Office suite of products
