About the Job

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for all phases of assigned projects within their home division. The Senior Project Manager designs and implements project plans, communicates directly with contractors / designers concerning project cost, staffing and scheduling. The Senior Project Manager prepares project status reports and works to ensure plans adhere to contract specifications.

Day to Day Responsibilities


  • Manage pre construction development, such as hiring and managing all consultants.
  • Preparing and defining the project scope of work, financial plan, its goals and deliverables.
  • Tracking project deliveries using project management tools.
  • Coordinating directly and indirectly with project staff to ensure successful completion of the project – Directing, supervising, supporting and coordinating the project team members/staff.
  • Communicating intensively with clients, sub-contractors and vendors to establish cordial/effective working relationship.
  • Reporting on project progress and communicated relevant information to superiors and company management.
  • Provide training and oversight to subordinate project managers.
  • Other duties as assigned or needed.


Work is performed at Project site and home office sites. Lighting is both artificial and natural. Equipment used includes safety equipment such as, gloves, safety glasses, hardhat, harness, ladders, scaffolding and other repair equipment. Individual will have exposure to rain, dust, noise, heat, cold, and fumes. Work will require individual to work at heights, on top of roofs, on ledges, etc, Physical demands include walking, standing, repetitive use of both hands and arms, driving motor vehicles, as well as balancing, climbing ladders and other height equipment, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50lbs. Hours and days are primarily Monday through Friday with some overtime and weekends required. Position requires contact with Blue Mountain employees, customers, and outside vendors.



  • General contractor experience on Multi Family Projects, Apartments, Hotels, Assistant Living.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior experience working as an Owner Representative or General Contractor Manager.
  • 20 years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects
  • 20 years of experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment
  • 20 years of previous experience with gathering requirements from the client / business and documentation
  • Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint, Bluebeam, and Procore. 
  • Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs
  • Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas in order to achieve a common business objective
  • Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate and enhance performance within a cross - functional environment
  • Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions and identifying priorities
